What’s New with Bluetooth® Technology: Channel Sounding, Upcoming Features, and Key Technology Trends

With over 5 billion devices shipping each year, Bluetooth technology is the most widely deployed wireless standard in the world. ABI Research predicts 7.5 billion Bluetooth devices will ship in 2028, representing an eight percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years. A number of recent technology enhancements and upcoming features will help Bluetooth maintain its dominant position in the wireless communications industry over the coming years. In this presentation, Damon Barnes, Director of Technical Marketing at the Bluetooth SIG, will provide an update on key Bluetooth technology trends, Bluetooth Channel Sounding, and key upcoming feature projects, including High Data Throughput, HID (human-interface device) feature enhancements, and Higher Frequency Bands (5/6 GHz).
