A Bluetooth Qualification Expert (BQE), a.k.a. as a BQB in the previous Qualification Program, is an individual recognized by the Bluetooth SIG to provide a Bluetooth member with qualification related services. The BQE is an expert in understanding the qualification policy and process and is required to participate within Bluetooth Technical Advisory Board (BTAB) development and meetings. BQEs are optional for members to use under the requirements of the PRD 2.0 and new Qualification Program; however, as they are experts in qualification related matters, the Bluetooth SIG highly recommends their use by members where appropriate. Members who do use a BQE for the qualification of their product will satisfy the random audit requirement within Qualification Enforcement Program. Members may contract directly with a BQE for qualification services. A BQE service may encompass the following;

• Checking declarations and documents against the qualification and testing requirements,
• Reviewing product test reports,
• Assisting members in listing products on the official database of Bluetooth qualified products (both the QDL and EPL).
