BLUETOOTH SIG MAGAZINE WINS TWO EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Bluetooth SIG

SIGnature Recognized for Best Overall and Best New Publication Design

Bellevue, WA – Nov. 26, 2007 – The Bluetooth Special Interest Group’s newly created magazine SIGnature was recently recognized for its excellence in design, winning two prestigious awards from the publishing industry.

SIGnature, the Bluetooth Quarterly, was recognized at the Custom Publishing Council’s (CPC) 4th annual Pearl Awards on November 8. The magazine was awarded gold for best overall design of publications with distribution of fewer than 50,000, and bronze for best new publication design.

SIGnature is published by Pace Communications for the Bluetooth SIG’s entire membership and is available to the public via www.bluetooth.com. It delivers Bluetooth industry insights and commentary for those developing and promoting Bluetooth technology specifications and products. Since its inception in early 2007, the magazine has been read and heralded by members and media alike.

“As a membership organization, we constantly look for new ways to bring value to our members and provide them with the tools and information they need to continue their innovative work with Bluetooth technology,” said Michael Foley, Ph.D., executive director, Bluetooth SIG. “SIGnature has been an exciting, effective and in-depth way to accomplish that objective.”

Judged by the CPC and its panel of esteemed judges, the Pearl Awards celebrate excellence in journalism, graphic design, publication packaging and the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for B2B and consumer custom publications. The event was held at the Rainbow Room in New York City, and awards were presented by Dr. Samir Husni, Chair, Journalism Department at University of Mississippi and Mediabistro founder Laurel Touby.

About Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
Bluetooth wireless technology is the global short-range wireless standard for personal connectivity of a broad range of electronic devices. The technology is now available in its fourth version of the core specification and continues to develop, building on its inherent strengths – small-form factor radio, low power, low cost, built-in security, robustness, ease-of-use, and ad hoc networking abilities. More than five new Bluetooth enabled products are qualified every working day and 13 million Bluetooth units are shipping per week. The installed base of Bluetooth devices is one and a half billion and climbing, making it the only proven choice for developers, product manufacturers, and consumers worldwide.
